OUR TEAM
Erika de Carvalho is an award winning professionally trained Interior Designer with a profuse and eclectic collection of projects in Europe, Asia and South America. Erika is passionate about every project she takes on and believes that interior design can really make a difference and improve the functional and aesthetics qualities of spaces.
To tend to her clients’ needs, who are increasingly looking for bespoke solutions for their projects, Erika de Carvalho founded Casa Alta Design in 2014, thus creating a platform full of inspiration, creativity and knowledge of the interior design world.
Erika de Carvalho graduated with a first class degree in Interior & Spatial Design at Chelsea College of Arts in London and subsequently completed a Master in Design Management and Innovation thus refining her project & company management skills further.
Having worked in architectural and interior design practices renowned throughout Europe, prior to the founding of Casa Alta Design, Erika de Carvalho led a design and architecture studio in London winning several international awards for exclusive luxury projects and worked in countries including India, Hong Kong, Switzerland, Sri Lanka.
Her work has been published internationally in Elle Deco, The White Book, Blueprint, ID-FX, Arquitetura & Construção, Casa dos Sonhos, India Today.
Maísa is an architect and designer passionate about creating spaces that blend functionality and beauty. Graduating in Architecture and Urbanism from the renowned University of São Paulo, Brazil, she began her career in the city of São Paulo, where for five years she made her mark on a series of residential and commercial projects of medium and high standard. Her dedication to project coordination and development, coupled with her ability to closely monitor construction, has provided her with a solid experience in the field.
Since 2019, she has been living in Lisbon, where she obtained a Master’s degree in Product and Space Design from the European University. During this time, she enhanced her knowledge in interior design, deepening her eye for detail, organizational skills, and technical expertise.
Maísa has been part of the team at Casa Alta since the beginning of 2022. Acting as a project manager and senior interior designer, she contributes her expertise to creating environments that reflect the personality and unique needs of each client.
