Algarve Mansion

The brief for this project in the Algarve challenged Casa Alta Design to create a retreat where technology and nature coexist in perfect harmony. The approach stemmed from a sensory reading of the site, capturing light, textures, and the coastal surroundings. The creative process evolved through organic forms, natural materials, and a rigorous artistic curation, including a collaboration with artist Vanessa Barragão to create a tapestry inspired by ocean themes and the project’s color palette, reinforcing the space’s sensory identity.

The result materializes in a residence where sandy tones, stone, and ocean blues define a cohesive and serene language. The staircase stands out with a sculptural textile installation developed in collaboration with Vanessa Barragão, exploring oceanic themes and the project’s color palette. Outdoor areas were designed as natural extensions of the home, including spaces for relaxation, dining, and socializing by the pool. The discreet integration of technology enhances comfort without disrupting the aesthetic, culminating in a sophisticated and sensory living environment.
